The Business Snapshot feature serves as a centralized “ID card” for each supplier, designed to identify the organization and enrich the data required for an accurate cyber risk assessment. It consolidates core company attributes, key identifiers, and publicly available information—such as certifications—into a single, reliable view. These certifications are sourced from the supplier’s official trust pages and other public disclosures, helping ensure transparency, data accuracy, and greater confidence in third-party risk assessments and the resulting bottom-line risk rating.

During the discovery phase, Panorays collects publicly available baseline data about third parties, including certifications and attestations they claim across trusted public sources.

Each discovered certification undergoes a manual review by Panorays’ security experts to validate relevance and authenticity. Verified certifications are clearly marked with a blue check mark, ensuring customers can trust the data presented.

Once verified, certifications activate an additional risk factor that influences the supplier’s bottom-line risk rating. This results in a more nuanced, informed, and fair assessment of the supplier’s security posture.
