By leveraging Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI), this feature collects, analyzes, and categorizes dark web data to help you identify risks early and take preventive action—before a security incident or breach occurs.
How It Works
The Dark Web Mentions feature monitors hacker forums, underground communities, and illicit marketplaces for references related to your company or third parties.
It identifies potentially malicious chatter such as:
Discussions about opportunities to target a third party
Attempts to sell stolen databases or personal information
Conversations about exploiting system weaknesses for financial gain
All findings are enriched with contextual intelligence, allowing you to better assess risk severity and respond efficiently.

Accessing Dark Web Mentions
Viewing a Supplier’s Dark Web Mentions
Navigate to the Suppliers page.
Select the relevant supplier from your list.
Click the More dropdown.
Choose Dark Web Mentions.
Viewing Your Company’s Dark Web Mentions
Go to My Company from the main navigation.
Select Dark Web Mentions.
Viewing, Searching, and Filtering Mentions
Use the search bar to locate specific mentions.
Click the Filter button (to the left of the search bar) to narrow results and focus on the most relevant threats.
Exporting Dark Web Mentions
There is currently no option to download or export Dark Web Mentions for a specific supplier directly from the platform.
The following options are available:
API access: Dark Web Mentions data can be retrieved for a specific supplier via the Panorays API.
Live Dashboard PDF export: You can create a Single Supplier Report through the Live Dashboards feature and export it as a PDF. Note: this export includes only the Dark Web Mentions trend graph, not the individual mention details.
If you need per-supplier mention details for investigation purposes and do not have API access, contact the support team.
Tips / Important Notes
Dark web mentions do not always indicate a confirmed breach, but they may signal intent, exposure, or increased risk.
Prioritize mentions that reference active exploitation, data sales, or explicit targeting.
Use these insights alongside other risk indicators to guide remediation and monitoring efforts.
